The Nokuthula Simelane Memorial Lecture is planned to be an annual platform established to honour the life, sacrifice and legacy of Nokuthula Simelane, one of South Africa's most courageous anti-apartheid activists.
The Memorial Lecture seeks to create a national conversation on justice, accountability, truth, reconciliation and the unfinished business of South Africa's democratic transition.
Hosted at the University of Mpumalanga, the inaugural lecture will position Mpumalanga as a custodian of Nokuthula Simelane's legacy while inspiring future generations.
